Renee Creese is an award-winning author of the children’s book, Mommy, I’m The Only One. Passionate about sharing her work with the world, Renee aims to inspire children to embrace their cultural identity, including their unique hair textures. She dedicated this book to her parents, who instilled in her the values of self-belief and confidence, regardless of others’ opinions. The main character, Lina, is named after Renee’s mother, Perlina, and the story is inspired by Renee’s own daughters. Renee hopes this book will help teachers, parents, and grandparents teach children the importance of kindness. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, the National Public Honors College, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Hood College.
